Hi, I’m Leigh Gerstbrein!
A former Division I college athlete, I have always enjoyed living in a healthy, active body. Furthermore, I have always felt a deep pull toward the exploration of well-being, and following it has led me on a never-ending inquiry of all things mindfulness, wellness, and human behavior. After spending 8+ years working in the health and wellness field, I started to notice a common trend – most of us know what we should be doing, we’re just not doing it. I then realized that helping people transform was less about telling them what to do, but instead working with them to help them understand their own behavior and the thoughts that create it. This realization inspired me to use my knowledge and expertise in the field to craft my own prescription to well-being. My approach incorporates the science of human behavior, the principles of habit change, positive psychology, and motivational interviewing techniques.
A devoted meditator and mindfulness advocate, I believe that having someone to assist you in exploring your relationship to your thoughts, feelings, and awareness is just as instrumental to your well-being as having someone prescribe you an exercise and/or nutrition plan. This is where my approach comes in. My inquisitive nature and passion for my work allows me to connect with everyone I work with, helping each individual hone in on their own unique strengths and capacity for change, allowing them to create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time outside and on the beach with my dog, reading, meditating, drawing, running, exploring, being active, and investing time in family and friends. A people person by nature, I love to work with others and am looking forward to working with you, too!
